Waskada School Remembrance Day Service
We held our service at the Legion park on Friday, Nov 7, at 10:45am. We welcomed some members from the community. The students did a lovely job of their poems and songs. The Gr 5-6 class painted poppy rocks that were displayed around the cenataph. They looked great with the burlap and all the poppies left behind. The morning was a bit cool but it helps us to realize(alittle) what the soldiers went through for us and how we need to remember to say thank you for all they did.
The wreaths were laid by Wayne Stewart (Legion Member) and Jaxon Elliott (cadet ).
Thanks to all who attended.
